About Adult Toy Score
In one sentence: we compare adult toys across competing brands, using published specifications and independent reviews, and we tell you plainly what we know, what we don't, and how we get paid.
Who is this site for?
Adults in the US who are choosing a product and want a comparison that isn't written by the company selling it. We started with men's products and plan to cover more of the category over time.
How do we research a guide?
- Manufacturer specifications — materials, dimensions, modes, battery and app features, as the maker states them.
- Independent reviews and owner feedback — we look for points that several unrelated sources agree on, and we discount lists published by a brand or seller about its own products.
- Competing brands side by side — every guide includes products from companies that compete with each other.
- Sources are recorded — each page keeps a list of the sources it was built from, with the date they were checked.
What don't we do?
- We don't physically test products. We never present our recommendations as hands-on results.
- We don't invent ratings. If we publish a score, it will follow a written method applied to public information, and that method will be explained on this site before any score appears.
- We don't give medical advice or make health claims about any product.
- We don't publish explicit imagery.
How are prices shown?
Prices are approximate US dollar ranges from the manufacturer or major retailers on the date a page was last updated. They change often, so check the retailer before you buy.
How does the site make money?
Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Where affiliate programs aren't in place yet, links go straight to the brand's own site. Commission never decides which products we include or how we rank them.
How often are guides updated?
Each guide shows the month it was last updated. We revisit guides when products are discontinued, replaced or repriced.
